I'm surprised the New York Times is standing behind Judith Miller so strongly. I think this is going to change as it begins to understand that she was nothing more than a chimp administration stooge.

Of course that would mean the New York Times will have to acknowledge that they were just the distributors for a chimp administration stooge with no editorial competence. I'm not sure they are ready to admit that yet.

The NYTimes is a stooge for this administration. It had a chance to come clean and fire Miller and her editors for inability to get a story straight.

It fired Blair for making up stories and the editor and publisher (if I remember correctly) both resigned over that mess. Miller didn't make up stories (who knows) but certainly wrote up and vouched for other people's made up stories.

I don't see any difference between the two. The rightwing went ballistic over Dan Rather and the Bush Desertion memos and they STILL can't prove that Bush did his duty. Why hasn't the opposition demanded Miller's firing?
