The amount of evidence that AMD has presented is a little bit above one person's random claim of such activity with animals.

Animals don't talk. Goats and chickens can't come to anyone's defense, or serve a witnesses for the prosecution. No one can quote them about any activity. A closer analogy would be if someone had submitted to the authorities a 48 page document detailing relations that you had with children. It wouldn't be enough to be the sole source for a conviction, but it would be more than enough for a full blown investigation and possibly prosecution. If the document turns out to be totally false you could sue them for slander, and also they would be subject to legal penalties for filing a false report. The situation is a little bit different with AMD and Intel as it is a lawsuit not a criminal case, and also what Intel has been accused of doing isn't as inflammatory of charge as child abuse, but the analogy is better than yours.
