Iran likely to supply energy to Pak Gwadar port
Islamabad, July 16, IRNA

Pakistan-Iran
Pakistan has approached Iran to supply electricity and gas to the neighboring Gwadar deep sea port and adjacent localities.

According to Dawn newspaper on Saturday, the government had decided to urgently overcome electricity and gas shortage in Gwadar and was discussing the issue with Iranian government.

Iran, the report added, had tentatively agreed to meet energy needs of Baluchistan province. However, Iranian government was being asked to meet necessary energy and gas requirements of District Gwadar, Pasni, Ormara and Jiwani.

It is pertinent that Iran is already supplying electricity to some of the bordering areas of its eastern neighbor in Baluchistan.
