My backyard is a very peaceful place (if you enjoy the meditative sound of wind chimes). There are lots of roses blooming, and I love to watch the butterflies, bees and hummingbirds buzzing around, and the cats sleeping soundly on the hot bricks. I am so happy that my very old cat, Lizzie, who has injection site sarcoma, has lived to enjoy another summer in the backyard. The vet only expected her to live a few weeks or a few months at the most, and that was in January. Even though the lump on her neck is getting larger and larger, she still is eating well and purring and cuddling, and climbing up on the breezeway roof to watch all the neighborhood dogs and squirrels enjoy their days outside as well.
