One industry insider said: "If they are forced to recall GTA: San Andreas over this, the company is doomed. They cannot afford this." If theabove statement is accurate, there is something seriously wrong with the financial management of that company. Grand Theft Auto is one of the top selling games of the past few years, the CDs retail for ~$30 and the COGS has got to be about $0.50. If that company isn't flush with cash then someone has been pocketing it like crazy.
