Don't see that it's that dumb. I don't know how people value their time, but at $300 for a basic box-only, that's only 6 hours at a relatively paltry $50/hr. Give the other one to a local non-profit for a charitable contribution and...

...starts to make a lot of financial sense, really.

Doren, as I have posted before, I know one grandmother who has done this twice so far. In her case it was due to the sales people telling her it was the only way to fix the computer.

Dumb? Maybe. Naive? For sure! Are there a great many people people being lead down the primrose path, regardless of their position in life? Just listen to Don. Check the market share numbers. ... Look at the bones!
