I think that they were not counting on 1.) the internet power and the bloggers, 2.) the degree of resistance from political foes, 3.) the interaction of aware citizens in "link-ups" and other forums, and 4.) the potential of all those for forming a real coalition. Rove may actually be stumped. It will be interesting to see what he does next. Probably he will reveal the level of hysteria - or lack or it - in his pronouncement, or lack of them. Certainly, he knows this. Likely he will do everything he can to not sound shrill (as Condi cannot help but doing). I do believe that they (the NeoCons) over-played their hand. However, I do believe they will play it out to their every advantage...(hyper-inflation, meaning a seeming triumph for the business world [read oligarchy] and that the little man will be pacified for a time).
