Ish

The dogs hair is falling out in clumps on the blanket. I suspect this is Mange and there are three classifications.. one of which is spread to humans and other animals.

Scary as I have a Maltese who is house bound... uses paper pads... but I don't want to get infected nor do I want to jeopardize my Maltese. In a way I would be scared to touch this dog. I think a tranquilizer administered by a gun would be appropriate and then get her into a crate where she can be taken to a vet and examined. I will see what Animal Control does.

Just outside between having written the first post and this one to inspect feces and no evidence of worms... to the eye..

She is a little more familiar but watches you like a hawk. Any more in her direction is met with bolting.. and fast for a little tyke.

Not only don't stare but it might be helpful to turn your back on the dog and sit very still.
