What on earth does being a liberal have to do with those idiots who took the dog for a walk by the freeway, Ish? They were just incredibly stupid, seemingly amoral people, period. I am a liberal, and I would never, ever treat a dog like that. Suma is a liberal and she is trying to do the right thing for this dog who wandered into her life. I really don't think there is any correlation at all between people's political persuasions and how they treat animals under their care. Do you, really? As you can see from reading the post I wrote Suma, I had a very similar experience with a dog I fostered--the dog ended up lost, obviously terrified, and most probably dead. I am still very sad every time I think about it, but the political beliefs of the stupid people who let her escape have never even entered my head. They were just stupid people, and there are plenty of liberal AND conservative very stupid people out there.
