Good point about the consolidation - I was away from the region from 1998-2004 with only one brief visit, so it was quite a change to see the place again. I know the current earnings rates are not sustainable. But if SA can achieve a long-term growth rate with some relative stability, that will be quite an achievement on the continent. I find SA and the region fascinating. If my optimism proves to be true, we may have a long-term presence here as well. However, I learned long ago that planning long-term with my lifestyle is pretty futile.
