that line of reasoning doesn't exactly inspire confidence. it can be said about anything in the world that has a price, and used as a justification for buying anything and everything. meanwhile, nobody talks about the thing that actually HAS doubled in price--longdated oil futures, in the past 14 months or so--and it increased in price for fundamental reasons. if goldbugs have to rely on irrationality in housing as the basis for bullishness on gold, i am glad i am still in oil.
