If this all results in zero charges being filed and zero convictions, then I will agree with you that it is "just a smear job". But we're certainly not there yet.

We have a "free press" cause it was our Founders position that such was valuable in keeping the government honest and the people informed. When the press is no longer honest, when the press is incapable of keeping the people informed of the truth, when the press CREATES the LIE then I have to wonder, do we really have a "free press" or do we merely have a mouthpiece for the left wing agenda getting a "free" pass? Seems to me when the MSM knowing creates the LIE and publishes it there should be some type of punishment. Something far worse then a retraction of a page one story on page 18 weeks later. jdn
