If Clinton's closest aid had outed some CIA operative and put the operative and others in the CIA at risk, the American rightwing would be howling for justice. Imagine the relentless attack on rightwing radio that would be mounted at this very moment. Amazing how silent they are when one of their own might have crossed the line of legality and ethical behavior and put American CIA agent's lives at risk. As much as I despised the Viet Nam War, I have to be a bit envious of that earlier generation of Americans who still had some beliefs in higher principals like honesty in government, abiding by the law, fairness, etc., and actually cleaned house in 1974 when confronted with utter corruption.
