I see ALL churches as trying to grow and expand members....Catholic churches are all under one umberella...Protestant ditto.....and now these new mega churches are creating their own umberella.... (One of the meanings of para, per your site, is French, and uses umberella as a reference...) But whatever, who is to say what is "a normal church"??? There are certainly some that I wouldn't say were "normal"...but then, that wouldn't be PC, would it? Probably for a definition of parachurches....I should say megachurches.....and that would include the Catholic and large Protestant churches, Orthodox Churches, and certainly Muslim and Jewish places of worship.
