I read that earlier. Much like the anti war/blue collar,african american coalition Bobby Kennedy was building before he was killed. I was 23 back then but politically savvy and knew that Eugene McCarthy was the candidate of the effete intellectuals and college leftists who just like with todays left (and perhaps irans students) could not beat nixons silent majority. RFK had ties with blue collar catholics, union members and blacks (because of his compassion and great record on civil rights) as well as with the anti war left. If fundamentalism and nationalism dont get the better of him, maybe Ahmadinejad will become iran's bobby kennedy, warts and all, unless the mullacracy does away with him first? Is there hope for an iran/israel rapprochement. That seems to be in both countries interests if both countries were smart enough to understand those interests. Mike
