The fighting back is essential, and there are signs that the administration has finally figured that out.

The firing-now that they have left fodder out for the MSM-would just set off the Bill O'Reilly's, who declare everyone guilty whether they've been investigated "yet" or not.

Nor will Fitzgerald dare to come out of this with no indictments, as he has soaked us for two years. (Which is WHY Congress, a few years ago, finally tried to do away with this whole extra-constitutional special prosecutor garbage.) But no indictment he could get would last a day in front of a judge.

So now Bush has to wait until this mysterious oriental dance is played out. Then, if he is smart, he will admit to the raging MSM that, yes, he FINALLY DID make a mistake, when he gave them this phony special "prosecutor"...

Speaking of which, O'Reilly leaned into a Dick Morris punch last night when he spilled into talking about the leak thing.

Morris was explaining the problems the left had, and a big one was that Rove didn't DO anything.

The genius O'Reilly had to jump out of his SHORTS to quickly interject "I don't want to try this on television."

Try WHAT on television, Bill, the risk to your populist credentials of actually presuming innocence for anyone?...
