Frankly, I'm not afraid of policemen coming after me if they know more about me, because I'm a law abiding citizen. My only real fear with policemen have greater access to my information is that gov't institutions are oftentimes untrained in security and are more prone to information security lapses than private companies. When I say this, I mean institutions like Dept of Transportation and your city and state institutions. I'm not talking about Fed, military, and pentagon, etc. Anyway, all of that can be worked out, but it takes effort.

You sell your freedoms so willingly.........are you that easy with the selling of your soul?

Its best you stay out of discussions you don't understand........one of them is a national ID. The negative consequences are substantive and the problems they would solve are minor.

Mindmeld, Frankly, I'm not afraid of policemen coming after me if they know more about me, because I'm a law abiding citizen.

Yeah, but I'm sure there are a LOT of law-abiding citizens who would still prefer to keep government out of their lives.

But like I said before, technology can solve most of those concerns. Of course, the BigBrother-phobes are just as closed-minded as the "open-minded" liberals on this thread, so naturally progress will be very slow going.
