How odd! I just finished adding that exact same argument to my post.

It will take awhile but you are right. Home location WILL become critical in the future. I know people who live in the country and commute 65 miles or more one way to work each day. Energy costs are killing many of them financially and, as more people move to suburbs, their commute times are increasing. At some point the hit on the pocketbook and loss of all your free time begins to outweigh other considerations.

So true and add in a new fast growing middle class in China and India. Me thinks many of those petrodollars floating around will flow into Houston RE<g>
