that is a good point--it is very speciesist that dogs are not allowed to purchase property on credit. after all, most dogs have stellar credit records. i believe any animal that can be trained to apply a pawprint to the X mark on a contract should be considered creditworthy, up to $1 million mortgage, subject to FICO score benchmarking.
also, why can't children also get up to $1 million mortgages? they also have good credit.
when you consider what we require of adult humans to get this kind of credit, there is not much justification for denying children and pets their due.
