I honestly do not think these people are insane. I think they see what others have done and the world's reaction to it, they feel peer pressure, are gripped by propaganda, can see only limited options and make very bad decisions. If the definition of legal insanity is the inability to distinguish right from wrong, then I think these people are sane but have a completely different idea of what is right and what is wrong. If we keep thinking that they're insane whackos, then we're going to keep missing them.
