What you are saying you state as fact, but it's just opinion, and when it comes to the elements, what you've said is not borne out in the natural world.

We're talking about concepts here, not chemistry. If I have kidney stones in my body, I am still human, not a coral reef. That little bit of calcium doesn't change my essence. If I have so much calcium in me that I petrify, then my essence changes and I am no longer human.

If you blow up the twin towers (a symbol of America) as a huge protest against America, has a critical mass of protest been reached?

It's not the size of the demonstration that determines critical mass, it's the proportion of the act that was protest as opposed to adventurism or revenge or experimentation or ego or hatred or insanity or whatever comprises terrorist acts. If that act were solely protest, then I would agree with you, but I seriously doubt it was.
