That's funny. I have often thought of creating a board on SI that delineates favorite tactics of the righties on SI, numbered so one could use them as a reference. For example:

1. attack the poster
2. attack the source of the information the poster is presenting
3. change the subject
4. Cite some republican think tank study that "proves" the poster is wrong
5. namecall
6. ignore the points made

Etc, etc etc.

If we could agree on terminology then the lefties could point out that the righty is just using tactic 1 and 4.

The sardonic, dark tone of some of those is very similar.

(One of my favorites was: Adams Apple --- A protuberance thoughtfully placed in the neck of man by Providence, to hold the noose in place.)
