Gib Re: "bypassed" Go to the capital city of any one of over a hundred small nations (I can provide you a list) that have no place in the global economy other than as a dumping ground for manufactured goods from the "lowest cost producer" nations and look around. Ask questions of the locals. Compare quality of life there now to how things were over a decade ago before their tariff protections were taken away. Then go visit the second nation on the list, spending maybe a month in each country. After you have been such a visitor to about five different nations you will begin to understand the principle of "bypassing". Slagle
