an interesting observation....

but...

if you are fighting someone who knows how to box (or a good karate guy) will knock you down in one blow... and i doubt that they will give you the opportunity to wrestle them down....

if it is killing or self defense....

get a frigging gun and emnpty it on the orangutan that is after you.... -ggggg

forget wrestling, or any contact at all...

remember that movie with Indiana jones...?

there is this huge guy that comes out of nowhere and starts swingig his sabre skilfully menacing good ole indiana...

he looks at him, goes for his gun and let him have it...

or how about distant uncle, Tuco Benedicto Juan Ramirez, aka "The Rat"

in il buono, il brutto & il cattivo (the good, the bad & the uggly)

tuco is happily bathng himself as one of his pretender captors starts threatening him with what will he do to him...

tuco reaches for his gun (underneath the bubbles) and shoots him and declares.....

if you are going to shoot, shoot, don't talk.....

-roflmao....

Once one of those Ju Jitsu guys like Hoyce Gracie got someone on the ground...it was over.
Now a days I see more boxing in the ultimate fighting stuff.
