Well that is why I do my web site entirely on my PC and then just upload or publish it to the server website. If changes are necessary I do them on the PC and then upload to the server again. In other words I always have a good up-to-date complete copy of the website on my PC for back-up. I have at times even copied it to a CD for backup.

On the other hand Verio has never failed me.

Good luck!

start from scratch [if] website lost?

dawgy,

Maybe 99DAN and others can post their experiences.

I don't have a website, but I know that the photobucket.com site
that I store pictures offers for a small cost that they will dump onto
a CD all my pictures. Thats an option very good for folks that have
hundreds to a thousand photos stored, and would be a great option for you
to have had that web site put onto a CD your thousands of hours
into developing your site, especially if the cost is low and you can do this
each time you put a hundred more hours into it.

I'm guessing you do all your web site development on that remote web site,
and not on your pc like 99DAN does.

Others here have other thoughts about this I'm sure

Dawgy,

Try google searching for some phrase that is likely to be fairly unique to your site. If you find it, click on the cached link. If Google has your site cached, you can get your html coding from the cached copy.
