Joe was assigned a single diplomatic mission to investigate the Yellowcake Uranium desires of Saddam as expressed by the Nigerians. When it was all done his report stated that there was evidence that Saddam had sought Nigerian Yellowcake Uranium. A couple years ago he produced an OP/Ed for the liberal NY Times in which he said there was no evidence that Saddam had bought Nigerian Yellowcake Uranium.

Notice the convenient change in wording. He also claimed that the Bush Administration knew then information that did not come to light until six months after Joe filed his report.

I have not idea if Diplomat Joe has ever again been entrusted with any further diplomatic missions. He was probably bestowed the title Ambassador to make the Nigerians feel more compelled to cooperate. It was a temporary posting.

He is a liar who lies to suit his needs and desires. He probably dreamed of obtaining some high democrat position as a result of his duplicity. He and his bumbling wife are notorious for compromising whatever they touch. In the press's brief to the court in regards to the contempt charges they point out that FOI Act releases have revealed that Mrs. Plame/Wilson was acknowledged to be CIA twice in the 90's to the Soviets.

I still like what they are calling the affair: NadaGate.
