These guys are just unbelievable......

Job drive for Saudi women delayed

gulf-news.com

A campaign to launch an employment drive for women in Saudi Arabia has been delayed until appropriate job opportunities are available, according to Saudi newspapers.

It would mean removing obstacles which could hinder the licensing of new businesses that would employ women and establishing a separate department for women in existing businesses.

The source also added some of these obstacles may be insurmountable.
----------------------------------------------

Keep in mind that there is nothing in Islam that says women and men can't work together, and they do work together in virtually every Islamic geography other than Saudi Arabia.

If slavery of blacks resulted in an international economic ban on South Africa, why shouldn't slavery of women result in the same for Saudi? The UN could easily capture their oil fields, sell the oil on the world markets, use the proceeds for women's healthy programs in Africa, and return the fields to the Saudis when they decide that Saudi women should be able to decide on their own what is "appropriate" for Saudi women, rather than have a bunch of old Saudi men decide that Saudi women should serve old Saudi men.

Well said, Elroy. Say what you want about going in, but we're there now doing a good thing. A stable Iraq helps the Iraqis, helps the Middle East, and reduces the source of Islamic terrorism. Sure, it's hell getting there, but I believe we can pull it off.

First of all, Iraq is not stable and grows more unstable with each passing day........and its been unstable since we entered the country over two years ago. That pretty much eliminates your's and Elroy's convenient argument right there.

In addition, stability will not come by magic and its growing clearer with each passing day that our presense there is only worsening the problem. That's something you choose not to see.

Now I don't have an "only kid," but I do know people who are in Iraq right now, and I'm damn proud of them. Unlike what JF assumes I should believe in, I hope they don't get "sacrificed," and I pray they may stay safe and successfully come out of there with a real victory.

Sorry but praying ain't going to be enough. This is not an example if you keep doing the doing things will work out in the end. Its much, much bigger than that.

Besides, praying to a superior being who opposes violence seems a bit hypocritical, don't you think?

Its time to pray your friends will be home by XMAS.

If you think that Iraq is stable because of Junior's actions you are hopelessly deluding yourself.
