Actually, I think he is classier then either of the two you mention. While he has conservative background, he seems to be very broad minded and likely to come down on what is correct according to the Constition with no preconceived notions as what the Constitution SHOULD have said, just WHAT IT SAYS. I would classify him more of a MODERATE then a Conservative

I would say that is a pretty good assessment. If he does a better job than O'Conner I will be happy. She disappointed me in some areas like affirmative action and Roe v. Wade.

Both sides should be pleased with him IMHO

Now you know better than that. Any SCOTUS nominee will get a lot of static from the socialists whomever it is; just because it is President Bush who wants it.
