actually say what you will about the idiocy of bush, if one thinks about it, this particular nominee is a master stroke..

the reason being...it paves the way for the next nominee (probably to fill a renquist resignation) to be a conservative leaning female justice..

if bush's intention is to tilt the court rightward, (which he stated during the campaign) replacing o'connor, a swing vote, with a more conservative justice is tactically quite smart

i'm trying to just imagine the left mounting a case against a female judge, better yet a black female, like say libertarian janice rogers brown, lol...

don't know if the left wing in the senate has the balls to stage another high tech lynching of a black female nominee
