there is of course, a certain mentality that using a child as a 'shield' will protect oneself from consequences of their own behavior...

to a certain extent that is true

the palistininans have for years used the tactic of sending out children to lob rocks and molotov cocktails at the israeli army and then when something happens to them, they cry look at the evil jews killing our children
