To: Lane3 who wrote (1921 ) 7/20/2005 11:03:13 AM From: X Y Zebra Read Replies (1) | Respond to of 540715 firmly believe that understanding is a valuable thing, that black and white thinking is not only ignorant but a strategic disadvantage, and that the better you know your enemy, the more successful you will be. i have not suggested i should not KNOW my enemy. yes, i would like the special services of the US to do exactly that. i want them to learn every move and why they do it, but "understand" i am sorry i will never "understand" killing innocent people... here you are with the word games again.... i can LEARN how they operate and then DEFEND accordingly but there is NOTHING to understand about a criminal act when you are DEFENDING AGAINST IT. if you want to go and execute a psychological profile in order to defend yourself, then by al means, but because of such knowledge, i am going to call it a protester, or w h a t e v e r... sorry, not me. if you think that DEFENDING against an enemy who has OPENLY defined you as their target... is 'black & white thinking' (why would you bring it up to my attention -duh) you have worse problems than word games.... let me re-state my position... 1.- terrorists are criminals 2.- i could not care less for their perceived reasoning (this, does not mean i am NOT going to study and analyze their modus operandi *but certainly it also does not mean i am going to 'reclassify' their plain vanilla criminal activities) 3.- i know they have declared war on us (the western world and ore specifically the USA *where i happen to live and a civilization i happen to identify with) 4.- based on above.... i support openly, relentlessly, and effectively the KILLING of ANY terrorist organization and membership, including attacks on states who harbor them. 5.- the USA has declared WAR on them. if you think that is black and white thinking... well who cares, i call it self defense. i would rather be 'ignorant' but alive, than really smart and dead -LOL
