The noble cause is found in the struggle not in the destination.

I'm having difficulty in finding anyway I can agree with that. The struggle [cause], the means of the struggle and the destination are inseparable and each one affects the nobility.

Hypothetical: I have a cause to bring peace to the mid-east, the means to achieve that cause is to gather together all the nuclear powers and unload all nuclear weapons throughout the region. Peace is achieved.

Alternative means: Kill all the non-Jews; or kill all the Jews. Either results in peace in the region. There are certainly some that would support one or the other. Hardly a noble cause.
