What cannot be devined, is whether the company knows how to grow--and that Crouch and Walker left perhaps signaled that it isn't going to grow in one particular direction? Who can say. The physical location of the company is good, I just watched a PPT presentation that makes San Diego look, er, very synergistic, ha. And expenses are controlled by farming some stuff out to Bangalore or whatever. Anyway with Scripps nearby and stuff, and lots of startups, and as far as I know all the competitors are far away, so competition for talent should be a net positive. Valuation is obviously fine for me (I own it at $3). The government contract might be a net plus? Tenuous Kevin Baconesque links to bigger chemistry players are not too hard to imagine. Although, I do have a vivid imagination... Graben4 on Yahoo rattled me a little with this postfinance.messages.yahoo.com But I think that in this bullish market for biotechnology, you can't be out of the stock. Although, obviously, "value" hasn't done as well as "growth", which may be part of what is going on in the sector. I think I will force myself to take a month off, no quotes, nothing. Catch up on my remedial chemistry. I should really bring it back up to a College 201 level at the least again. So, signing off til the end of August.
