Nope (..it's your reading comprehesion skills seem to be the real issue..). But, the science and chemistry I took in school comes in damn handy when working with those guys, or physicists, or whomever.

I worked on improvements to the Burrough-Wellcome (Glaxo) post-AZT formulation certrifuge installations that separate the cake (..the raw AZT drug material..) from the alcohol brine process fluid. It was necessary to add Oxygen Analyzers to the centrifuges to make certain that the contents were above or below the (UEL or LEL) Explosive Limits prior to the operators opening the doors to remove the cake. Nitrogen gas is used to blanket and purge the centrifuges. The plant's DCS (Digital Control System) and local PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programs control the solenoid operated Nirtoen valves and centrifuge door locks based on the O2 levels. The AZT brine flow X-O (..on-off.) valves to the centrifuges are also part of those control loops.

Due to the explosive alcohol vapors present from the AZT process fluid, if a centrifuge were opened within the UEL or LEL range, a spark of static electricity from their clothing could cause an explosion of the contained vapors and injure or kill an operator. That sort of 'Recoradble' event tends to upset OSHA and the Plant Manager; ...not a good thing.

Fascinating work, really.

That's why I also happen to think that NNVC may work out to be a good investment.

John :-)
