Bonaparte's comments on Islam (including his alledged conversion) did him a great deal of harm later in Catholic Europe and Ireland, where he was attempting to foster rebellion against the British.

Supporting that statement..Bonaparte was the first European leader to emancipate the Jews. The guy had positive aspects.
