So-called conservative judges also read interpretations into the law which arn't there. Example: The cases which hold that suits against an employee's medical insurance company must be commenced in federal court.

There was a leftist, activist judge by the name of John Marshall who wrote the decision in Marbury v Madison that the USSC has the power to decide what laws are constitutional. The Constitution does not expressly grant that power to the court. It took an activist judge like Marshall to say so.
