I agree we may not like it - but as the administration tried to point out we would attempt to influence, but in the end we won't dictate what's rightfully theirs to decide. Hopefully it leads to our immediate goal of moving the process along to the point we can get disinvited and go home. I sure hope that Iraq one day becomes a model of success - but in the end it's theirs to determine - even if they decide civil war is the way to go. I think we've made a huge effort to make a difference - perhaps it will all work out over time, perhaps not - I'm not regretful we tried.

I agree with most of what you said but I object strongly to you last sentiment. Over 13K soldiers were killed or seriously maimed in Iraq........it will never be worth their sacrifice.
