There goes Karl Rove's "unknowingly revealed classified information" alibi:

"A classified State Department memorandum central to a federal leak investigation contained information about CIA officer Valerie Plame in a paragraph marked "(S)" for secret, a clear indication that any Bush administration official who read it should have been aware the information was classified, according to current and former government officials."

Although it's part of the job to know what's classified and what isn't before blabbing things around, rove knew.

The next question should be about what bush knew.
Did bush approve of the Plame leak?
I'd say it's a near certainty he did.
Maybe the press corps' new-found cajones will start them toward asking the obvious.

2. It makes no difference whether the information is in the “public domain.” If the information has not been declassified it is a crime to reveal such;

Thats all interesting and true in theory..try to get a conviction on this one. In the Franklin case, I saw no evidence of the information being in the public domain prior to disclosure. You can't dump 60 pages on me and say, "SEE!"
