That day, for the First Man on the Moon, was indeed VERY special!!! It really was an amazing event, and all the more that it predated the "information age", where today so much seems rendered trivial by the spread of multimedia and computers. It was only the previous year that Doug Engelbart gave his stupefying 1968 FJCC demo, one of the most amazing, farsighted presentations of all time. At that time frame, there was so much hope and promise for the future.
