We were talking about President Bush receiving better grades and being tested as more intelligent that the "intellectual" Kerry. We were discussing whether grades or intelligence tests provided useful indication of success in life.

But if you want to change the subject...

Yes it is a fact that Clinton benefitted from the economic cycle. It is documented that during the election of '92 the economy was recovering from a brief recession. The eight year run of economic growth certainly benefitted Clinton. It has also been documented that Clinton left a sick economy that was either in recession or heading into a recession.

President Bush inherited a sick economy and then was hit with a terrorist attack that slammed any recovery that might have been started.

If you want to brag about Clinton's economic performance, then please explain why in such good economic times he did not expunge a Trillion or so from the debt? If he was sooo good, surely he could have accomplished that feat.
