A ruthless thug who killed hundreds of thousands of his own people.

Saddam, a ruthless thug who was supported by the West for well over a decade. We supplied Saddam with many of the weapons he used to build his army. We even helped him assume power in the 1960s. We have plenty of blood on our hands for supporting Saddam. He would never have become the monster he became without Western support.

Stop being so damn naive. We supported Saddam for years and helped him build up his army, and have done so with just as ruthless regimes for decades.

It's no wonder that the U.S. pursues such utterly immoral and inane foreign policies and the Republican Party that is so willing to implement these policies with head in the sanders like yourself occupying this country.

Can't we just focus on building a better America for a change? I don't think in the history of mankind that there has ever been a country that was so externally focused, well perhaps the Roman Empire, but we know what happen to them.
