I will agree that our foreign policy should not prop up bad regimes simply because they are not as bad as the alternative. In this respect, I think Bush is more black and white than his predessors have been.

We supported Saddam when we knew what he was doing and we shouldn't have. I agree with that. But it is history and we need to look forward. Simply repeating that over and over adds nothing to the argument.
