There is a way to deal with it. It is called deterrence. It worked against the Soviet Empire that had over 10,000 nuclear warheads aimed at the US for decades. They could have destroyed utterly all towns in the US of over 5,000 population with what they had. But they didn't. They were deterred. We didn't invade them pre-emptively, we deterred them. What do these people value most? You might want to read about the Sampson option here. Are some of our nuclear subs in place off the coast of Saudi Arabia, ready to take out Mecca and Medina - if given the order in case of the destruction of a major US city, or say a city like London? Maybe. My guess is that the leaders in the Arab countries have been warned not to allow this to happen, or they may find out. Blinding flashes, core temperatures of 100 million degrees, and winds reaching hundreds of miles an hour will radiate from the center of dozens of Israeli nuclear weapons. Mecca will be only a distant memory.
