I would like to see 50 bps in August.

that's quite a change. when he started raising didn't you think he'd have to stop at 1.75.

I just said that is what I would like to see.
The reason that I would like to see it is that I am flat interest rates futures. Rising rates will get me a better entry when I get back in. I also am getting tired of housing bulls. ng

I admitted long ago that I was wrong about what it would take to stop housing. Then again LT rates have hardly budged. What has changed is a number of 1-3% initial arms that are now going to start affecting more than a few people in the coming months when they roll over. (1-3yr arms rollovers). Perhaps Russ has some updated figures on that.

It still might not take a spike in LT rates to kill housing. Some areas are dieing because of exhaustion right now I think.
