mish, what did you think about Greenspan's comments that the efficacy of the flattening yield curve as an indicator has been diminished?

Interesting that you ask that. I just got off the phone with Paul Kasriel and he was laughing about that. I will try and paraphrase PK: (No one has been more consistently wrong about the econony and what indicators mean than Greenspan. He has been saying that for years. He was wrong then and he is wrong now).

BTW - that is how I feel and how Heinz feels as well.
Heinz emailed me almost the same comment today as well.

In fact Here is Heinz comment (not in reply to yield curve flattening but something else):

"Greenspan's economic forecasting record is demonstrably atrocious. one of the worst forecasters around"
