Clinton pardoned Marc Rich to take the heat of of pardoning Susan McDougal (his WhiteWater, Castle Grande and MAdison Guarantee partner).

BTW - Did the Clintons ever report the $50,000 gain from the McDougals taking over the Clintons' loss? Why didn't the IRS ever prosecute the Clintons for their tax fraud?

There was Casper Weinberger and a bunch of Iran-Contra figures who were pardoned by Bush, Sr. Both sides play that game. Its an insiders club of rich and powerful people.
