There were more than 13 states with legalized abortion before roe vs wade with four having no limitations/restrictions on needing a medical reason at all. Also, the accidental death rate from botched abortions was dropping to about 200 per year in 1965 way down from 2000+ in the thirties due to better antibiotics to treat infections. I assume most states would make abortion legal with various levels or restrictions. We even had folks crossing borders and going as far as England in the old days - which of course means the poorer folks had less options.

In any case I don't really want to see the case overturned - there's some things that the left and the right should just drop - if the left would drop gun control, the right should give up overturning roe vs wade. We really do have more important issues to tackle as a nation.
