I get a lot of that, without your special phone. I yelled hello into the phone for about 5 seconds and then a recording came on letting me know that my refi appln was approved and to call this number 1-*--*** to finalize my loan. A little too much at 10PM Pacific time for a call to FL and for a refi loan for me on my apartment. I'm guessing the owner wouldn't look kindly to that transaction. I haven't owned any property since 1977 when I "donated" my house to my ex-wife to be and damn sure didn't apply for a bogus refi loan. Life sucks, and then you die.

My sister has a fail-safe solution to that problem, Ish. At 9 pm when she and her husband retire for the night, she unplugs her phone. If I forget and call after 9, it rings and rings but they don't hear a thing. This solution works better if you are a phone-o-phobe like my sister, and have only one phone to unplug.
