Palestinians lived in semi-symbiosis with Israelis before they decided along with several Arab countries to try to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. After that, Israel clamped down hard on the Palestinians. Then things got better for awhile, until the two intifadas. Now things are worse than they've ever been. What are you talking about? There were no Israelis until 1948 when the country was founded, and the Muslims have been fighting them since then. The time of relatively harmony that you are describing ends when Israel comes into existence. Te many people living in the region got along best when there was no distinction between Palestian, Israeli and others. Instead they were ALL Palestinians living under outside British rule. Some were Muslims, some were Jewish, some were martian worshippers. It was the creation of a Jewish state in a region that was primarily made up of Muslims that got the Muslims upset, understandably so. How would you react to the creation of a Muslim state in the middle of the USA?But frankly, if Muslims in this country started suicide bombing rampages within our cities and their whole society started supporting these bombers, I'd put them in camps with walls and make sure they could do no harm. Either that or I'd deport them. That's not the appropriate analogy to what the Palestinian went through. Imagine instead that the American Indians in Kansas rebel, capture all of Kansas, and then what? Do you think the US allows it, or bombs them all to hell?I have absolutely zero sympathy for anyone who uses murder as a way to achieve political aims. Virtually every political country and every leading clan in non-democracy comes to exist through murder, so your sympathies aren't really what's at issue.
