Bloomberg is a Republican owned news service which yesterday put out the new story that Rove ands Libby may have both perjured themselves and lied to the FBI. They both claimed that reporters gave them Plame's secret ID, but now we know different and the reporters strenuously deny it. The prosecutor is not stupid. Libby at least has the highest secret intel clearance. He could easily get Plame's CIA ID, but reporters would be very unlikely to have any such intel. Although Novak is rumored to have long-stabnding ties to the CIA. Rove and Novak are also close longtime friends and allies. Even worse for Rovge and the WH now are the many real-life CIA agents who are coming out blasting the RNC's smear campaign against the Wilsons are 100% lies. They make the important point that this kind of outing could have a severely detrimental effect on our national security. Assuming they're guilty, Rove and Libby could have in fact committed treason, which used to be punishable by death.
